Blue Ice Academy, the northernmost boarding school in the world. Here all high-school age students come to learn, and, of course, to mush dogs. The main focus here may be the art of driving sled dogs, but there is a reason why this school is known for its test results. If you fail even one class, you are asked to find another school, and someone else will take your place.
Perhaps you don't know anything about the world of mushing? Well, you are welcome here as well. You will learn, from the ground up, and even compete within your first year. The school offers many gentle, well trained animals that are ready to be given to students to care for.
The school itself is a collection of cabins out in the middle of the Alaskan Wilderness. The nearest town is about 20 miles away, while the airport is 55 miles from there. The kennels are state of the art. Each dorm building has its own facility, so enough space for every dog. There are four dorms, and these compete in competitions at least once a month. The names are: Qimmiq, Samoyed, Husky, and Malamute. Each student is assigned to a dorm when they start, and they can earn points for that dorm throughout the year. At the end of the year, the dorm with the most points gets to have a free day, while the other dorms must clean out the kennels.
